6 Ways To Breathe New Life Into Your Home

Making changes to your decor, in the right way, feels inspiring and will give you a sense of joy. You don’t need to redo an entire room in order to give it new life. Here are 6 of my best tips, to refresh your home, that I share with my Fairfield and Westchester clients.

All of these ideas can be implemented easily and make a great E-Design project.

1
Be Bold

Vibrant colors really energize a space. Play around with accents such as pillows, throws, art and accessories.  When you add bold colors, in this manner, it’s easy to swap them out when you tire of them.

Layer Up

Add pillows and throws, with a common theme and color palette, in different textures and patterns. Then layer them up. This not only adds multiple levels of interest, it makes your room look and feel lived in and cozy.

Get Artistic

Art makes a room feel alive. For maximum impact, add a new statement piece of artwork and place it in a strategic spot. Choose something that compliments your decor and one that you love.

Accessories give your room the finishing touch. If your space feels somewhat bland, choose items with texture. Decorative elements with dimension make a space look more interesting.

Fun Wallpaper

If your room feels lackluster or just needs some spicing up, creating an accent wall with wallpaper is a good solution. If you gravitate towards a daring pattern or color, go for it. Afraid? Don't be - there are so many peel and stick options that can be readily swapped out if need be!

Go Green

Adding plants to a room makes it feel alive. If you don’t have a green thumb, opt for a variety that is hard to kill, such as a snake plant or succulent. For corners that are lacking in sun, go artificial. There are many lifelike faux options. A benefit of artificial plants is that you can get one that suits your space perfectly.
