How to turn a closet into a mudroom/laundry room…

One of last projects I worked on, the clients had a a closet in their garage, which was large but cumbersome and not useful. It also had a door inside to a smaller closet for which we reconverted the space. We closed the garage end of the closet and and pushed back from inside into the space to make for an inside closet to allow for coats and storage, added an area for for stackable washer and dryer units, as well as added a mudroom with two benches and storage, which they so desperately needed! Now they have useful storage, laundry and a mudroom!

It was an easy additional that proved to be a win -win!
