How to freshen up your Christmas Stockings
- Velvet stockings should be professionally dry cleaned and only steamed to get wrinkles out. Do not iron them.
- Needlepoint can be vacuumed with an upholstery brush. to brighten them up but if they are stained, take them to a dry cleaner.
- Felt should go to the dry cleaner.
- Knit should be hand washed just like a sweater. Don't ring them out. Just lay flat to dry.
- Wool can also be hand washed or sent to the cleaners. Lay these flat to dry.
