6 Ways to Decorate with Greens for Christmas 2021
One of the best aspects of the holidays is that it is so festive. Who doesn’t love bringing some of that festivity into the home, too? While it is great that there are so many options when it comes to holiday decor, it can be a little overwhelming too.
This month, I thought I’d give you some inspiration and share with you some ways I’ll be decorating the homes of my Fairfield and Westchester clients for the holiday. Here are 6 ways that I’ll be using greenery, fresh and artificial, to decorate for Christmas 2021.

Go Monochrome
For a subtle and chic Christmas, think monochromatic. Don’t limit yourself to the tree, but rather use the same theme throughout your holiday decor. Add drama by making it sparkle.

Use different types of garland
An easy way to decorate for Christmas is to use garland as a base to create a unique tablescape and for arrangements on trays. Place trays on large flat surfaces such as your coffee table and the top of your entertainment center. To keep it interesting, mix and match garland made of different types of greenery.

Make vases
Fill vases and planters with greenery, and strategically place them around your home. Create groupings of simple arrangements, add holiday-themed embellishments and light them up!

Hang Wreaths Indoors
Add ribbons to plain wreaths and hang them in multiples on the interior of your windows. Make Christmas meals especially festive by placing them in your eating area and Dining Room, taking care to place them all at the same height.

Use Ornaments
Why not get creative and use ornaments to adorn things other than your tree? You can add them to anything, really. Let your imagination flow, knowing that putting ornaments on garland and arrangements always looks good.

For Christmas 2021, don’t limit yourself to only draping garland on doorways, banisters, and fireplace mantles. Get creative and place greenery in unexpected places, such as light fixtures. This makes for a whimsical and festive look.
