What to do if your house or car get egged!

Quirky Tip of the Month for HalloweenWhile it’s all in good fun, egg yolks when cooked, can stain your siding and bits of egg shell can become abrasive and cause damage. I bet you never thought of having the yolks cook on your house, but this can and does happen from the sun and from attempting clean up with hot water. To prevent this, use cold water and tend to the mess right away. Use your garden hose to spray just above the egg (instead of directly on it) so that it gently slides away. Try to avoid scrubbing as this is what will cause the shells to become an abrasive.
